Mission Statement

Northwest Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, relationships & mission.

Core Values 

Gospel - The gospel is the good news that God is redeeming his people through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the gospel is the center for everything that we say and do. The gospel is like our oxygen.  We are made alive through it, and it keeps us living to and for God. It gives us proper identity, right standing before God. We teach, preach, love, care, worship, learn, and give because of it. 

Relationships - We believe that a church is made up of born again believers in Jesus Christ who have been radically transformed by the gospel.  The church is God’s people (born again and baptized) who have covenanted together for the glory of God. It is because of this that we find it important to intentionally invest into each other. It is through these relationships that we accomplish the "Great Commission"  that Jesus commanded us to do. We understand that we need to be disciples who are making disciples who are making disciples. 

Story - We understand that everyone has a vital role to play within the church. God is shaping all of us as individuals to be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We celebrate our stories because it is how we understand what God is doing in our lives. Our lives have been changed by the grace of God and we will make it known. We place a high value of sharing with each other about the life change happening within us because of the gospel. 

Truth - The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. We do not shy away from teaching and proclaiming its glorious God-Centered and Gospel-Centered message.  We will honor it, be changed by it, and fight for it. Through it we learn more about God, ourselves and the world around us.  Without the Bible we have no foundation. It will be exposited from the pulpit, the classroom and our homes. 

Worship - We believe that worship is way more than a church service, style or even a church. Worship is a lifestyle of celebrating and fearing a Holy God in all of His Glory. We seek to glorify, honor and magnify God in all our programs, events and ministries of the church. We are a people who depend on God.  We believe that God is a Jealous God and is worthy of all our praise.

Mission - We do not exist for ourselves. We exist to be a people, on mission, for the expansion of the Kingdom of God. We believe we have a responsibility to preach the gospel to every man, woman and child in Bradenton and beyond. We will be good stewards of our resources, gifting, time and energy; so that we can to make Jesus and the gospel of his grace known.  We desire to be a people who multiply and reproduce ourselves locally, regionally and globally.
